If you intend to exceed 10 pages, please declare for invoicing or make cash payment using the Order Envelope located in the passage and place in black payment box. $0.10/black and $0.50/colour page printed and $0.10 per scan to supplied USB Memory Stick.

About WiFi Access
Paid Printing Services with OKI MC853
The OKI printer is available as a paid service along with blinding, scanning, and laminating. Click here for pricing details.
Members can obtain a "Printer User ID Account" from the AHBC centre manager, This will enable members to print directly to the OKI printer via the AHBC WiFi.
Members will need to install the OKI Postscript drivers. See installation and print options below.

Establishing a User ID Account
If you intend to use the OKI MFC regularly, please ask the AHBC manager to create a User ID Account (Username and 4 digit password). The username will normally be your First and Last Names and your membership 4 digit Access Code.
With a User ID Account you will be able to print directly to the printer via the AHBC WiFi, Copy and Scan.
Your User ID Account tracks all of your printing and scanning activities during the month. An invoice will be issues at the start of the following month.
Guest Login
"Go Coworkers" or Cowork Members may use the OKI printer for the Occasional and Limited Free Printing - See notes above.
When using the Guest option, only Black and White printing is available when photocopying or from a USB Memory Stick. You can also scan to your USB Memory Stick.

Login with User ID Account
Making photo copies is simple. Simply enter your User ID Code and select "OK" from screen, then Copy.
You will need to log in whenever you create photocopies, scans, print from USB or send a email. You will also need to Log in when printing a stored document "Secure Print Job" created from your computer. (See details below)

Logging Out
You'll automatically be logged out after a few minutes however to logout immediately, select the "HOME / Help" grey button to return to the Home screen and then select the onscreen "Logout" button.
OKI MC853 Installing Print Driver
1. Download Driver
OKI MC 853dn
Type: Mono or Colour Laser Printer, Scanner and Copier.
Location: Media Studio
Access: Account Required
ONLY INSTALL THE POSTSCRIPT DRIVE(PS) "OKI MC583(PS)" as downloaded from the OKI website.
After downloading install the printer and select the OKI Driver. See image and / or play above video.

Steps 1 & 2 - Select Printer & Preferences
1. After installing the OKI Printer driver as outline above, select the OKI MC853 Printer.
Make other changes as required. Eg. Number of copies etc.
2. Select "Preferences" button for further options
At this stage you can either "Secure Print" or use "User Authentication". See Options 1 & 2 below
(Option 1) Steps 3 to 6 - For User Authentication
"User Authentication" sends your print job directly to the printer using your User ID Account credentials. The print job will print immediately if the printer is not being used by another user. The Username is normally your first and last name and password is your four-digit code.
3. Select "Extend" tab for further options
4. Select "User Authentication" Button
5. Enter your Username and ID Code (4 digits) as the Password. Details as provided at time of establishing your User ID Account. If asked for Authentication Type, select "Device Local"
NOTE : If Username and Password have previously been established, just print as the settings are stored.
Go to printer and collect print out
(Option 2) Steps 3 to 5 - For Secure Printing
"Secure Print" will store your print jobs until you retrieve the Jobs and print at the printer. The "Job Password" can be any 4 digit password and doesn't need to be the same as your User ID how it is recommended. This means that you can create several print jobs and then select the jobs to print from the printer.
3. Select "Job Options" tab for further options
4. Select "Secure Print" option
5. Enter a 4 digit job code (Passcode) It can any number that you will recall at the printer.
Follow Steps 6 to 8 below to retrieve your secure print.
Apple Mac OS X
Steps 1 to 3 - Select Printer & ID Type
1. After installing the OKI Printer driver as outline above, select the OKI MC853 Printer.

2. Select "Show Detail" to show further print options
3. At this stage you can either "Secure Print" or use "User Authentication". See Options 1 & 2 below
(Option 1) Steps 4 & 5 - For User Authentication
"User Authentication" sends your print job directly to the printer using your User ID Account credentials. The print job will print immediately if the printer is not being used by another user. The Username is normally your first and last name and password is your four-digit code.
4. After selecting "User Authentication" options, check the "Use User Authentication" box.
NOTE : Not all Apple Apps display this option. If missing, Select “Printer Features” and then "Use Authentication”
5. Enter your Username and ID Code (4 digits) as the Password. Details as provided at time of establishing your User ID Account. If asked for Authentication Type, select "Device Local"

4. After selecting "Secure Print" options, check "Secure Print"
5. Enter a 4 digit job code (Passcode) It can any number that you will recall at the printer.

Collecting Computer Print Jobs

Secure Printing
Secure Printing sends your print job to the printer with a four digit Passcode that you enter at the OKI MC853 printer to retrieve and print.
Login in at the printer using your 4 Digit and then go to Print > ID Secure Print or Stored Job > Enter Your Passcode Again> Select Document to print or to delete. Print jobs are removed once printed.
Follow Steps 6 to 8 below to retrieve your secure print.
Mac OSX 10 Authentication Username and Password
When printing from an Apple App such as Preview, Safari, Pages etc, "User Authentication" and "Secure Print" may not appear as an option under your print settings. Unfortunately the standard Apple print driver does not recognise the available security features.
To set a "Username and Passwords" or Security ID Code, go to a NONO Apple App and create a "User Authentication" or "Secure Print ID" as outlined above. Be sure to enter your Username and Passcode. This will set the "User Authentication" for all further print jobs when using this printer.
Step 6 - At OKI MC 853 Printer
6a. Go to the OKI printer and Login as outlined above "OKI Printer with User ID Account"
6b. To print your secure document select "Print" from the Home menu and then "Stored Job" or "ID Secure Print"
Step 7- At OKI MC 853 Printer
7. Enter the 4 digit Passcode you created at Step 5 followed by "OK"
Step 8- At OKI MC 853 Printer
8. A list of secure print jobs with the entered Passcode will be displayed. Either print or delete as print jobs as required. Once printed the Secure Print Job has been printed, it will be deleted.
Print Jobs are cleared out after 24 hours.
