Background

Australia runs well behind the rest of the world when it comes to EV. However EV's are growing (electric cars and bikes) in Australia along with public charging stations.

The EV charger located at Woodside was fully funded by the Adelaide Hills Business Centre (Private organisation) with no government assistance. The centre has a keen focus on renewable resources and associated technology through our Hacksaw (Cutting Through Technology) programs.

The outer Adelaide regions provide very little in the way of charging points. However our members, guest and the general public traveling through the Hills regions can now access a 7.2kW, Level 2 Electric Vehicle charge Unit located in the Adelaide Hills Business Centre car park.

With the centre's co-work space, shops and bakery nearby, a short stop will ensure your vehicle is charged to travel further afield.

For now the charger will be available to members and the general public at no cost. The majority of the power will be delivered from our solar surplus power system.

So good news for those with electric vehicles and our environment.
