Using Printers & Drivers

Occasional Printing

*Occasional and Limited Free Printing

Visitors and Members have access to printers for occasional use only. Eg. A few pages per visit.

If you intend to exceed 10 pages, please place or declare for Invoicing 0.10c per black printed page and $0.50 per colour printed page into a payment envelope located in the passage and place in black payment box.

All printers are accessible through the AHBC WiFi.

Paid Printing Services

Large format and high volume printing is available as a paid service along with blinding, scanning, lamination and faxing. Click here for pricing details.

This service can be established as a "Pay As You Go" or monthly invoice for Members with a User ID Account. Contact the Centre manager for further details

OKI MC 853dn

Type: Mono or Colour Laser Printer, Scanner, Copier and Internet Fax

Location: Media Studio

Access: Account Required

Installing Driver on Mac. Use the supplied postscript driver OKI MC583(PS) supplied by OKI. After downloading install the printer and select the OKI Driver. See image below or play above video.

EPSON XP-850

Type : Mono or Colour Ink Printer and Scanner

Location: Boardroom

Access: *Occasional and Limited Free Printing to this Multi Function Centre (MFC). Max 10 pages / visit.

A4 Colour Ink type printing. Scan and Print function can be operated from Smart Board in boardroom.

We suggest that you download the OSX or Windows drivers from the Epson website.

EPSON ET-2650

Type : Mono or Colour Ink Printer and Copier

Location: Cowork Space

Access: *Occasional and Limited Free Printing to this Multi Function Centre (MFC). Max 10 pages / visit.

A4 Colour Ink type printing. Copy and Print. Print function can be operated from Smart Board in Cowork space.

We suggest that you download the OSX or Windows drivers from the Epson website.

OKI Copying & User ID Account

Establishing a User ID Account

If you intend to use the advanced features of the OKI MFC such as colour prints, faxing etc, please ask the AHBC manager to allocate a User ID Account (Username and ID Code).

The OKI printer requires a User ID Account to access.

With a User ID Account you will be able to create mono or colour prints, use A4, A3 and custom documents sizes, scanning, copying and internet faxing.

This service can be established as a "Pay As You Go" or monthly invoice for Members.

Your User ID Account tracks all of your printing and scanning activities during a session or month.

Login with User ID Account

Making photo copies is simple. Simply enter your User ID Code and select "OK" from screen.

OKI Prints from Computer

When printing from your computer, you have two options:-

User Authentication

User Authentication connects your print job to your "User ID Account". Your print job will be printed as soon as it can.

Secure Print

Secure Print sends your print job to the printer with a four digit Passcode that you enter at the OKI MC853 printer to retrieve and print . Login in at the printer and then go to Print > ID Secure Print > Enter print job passcode > Select Document to print or delete. Print jobs are removed once printed or after a day.

Mac OSX 10 Authentication Username and Password

When printing from an Apple App such as Preview, Safari, Pages etc, "User Authentication" may not appear as an option under your print settings.

To set your username and passwords, go to a none Apple App such as Chrome and create a "User Authentication" print job as outlined below. Be sure to enter your Username and Passcode. This will set the "User Authentication" for all further print jobs when using this printer.

Windows

1. After installing the OKI Printer driver as outline above, select the OKI MC853 Printer.

Make other changes as required. Eg. Number of copies etc.

2. Select "Preferences" button for further options

For User Authentication

3. Select "Extend" tab for further options

4. Select "User Authentication" Button

5. Enter Username and ID Code as the Password. Details as provided at time of establishing your User ID Account. If asked for Authentication Type, select "Device Local"

6. Collect from the printer [END]

For Secure Printing Option

3. Select "Job Options" tab for further options

4. Select "Secure Print" option

5. Enter a 4 digit job code (Passcode) It can any number that you will recall in Step 7.

Apple Mac OS X

1. After installing the OKI Printer driver as outline above, select the OKI MC853 Printer.

Make other changes as required. Eg. Number of copies etc.

2. Select "Show Detail" to show further print options

3. Either select "User Authentication" or "Secure Print" from the Detailed Options List

For User Authentication

4. After selecting "User Authentication" options, check the "Use User Authentication" box.

NOTE : Apple Apps may not display this option. Select Printer Features” and then "Use Authentication”

5. Enter Username and ID Code as the Password. Details as provided at time of establishing your User ID Account. If asked for Authentication Type, select "Device Local"

NOTE : Apple Apps may not request the Username and Password. If entered previously, just print, otherwise see "Mac OSX 10 Authentication Username and Password" above for configuring.

6. Collect from the printer [END]

For Secure Printing Option

4. After selecting "Secure Print" options, check "Secure Print"

5. Enter a 4 digit job code (Passcode) It can any number that you will recall in Step 7.

Step 6 - At OKI MC 853 Printer

6a. Go to the OKI printer and Login as outlined above "OKI Printer with User ID Account"

6b. To print your secure document select "Print" from the Home menu and then "ID Secure Print"

Step 7- At OKI MC 853 Printer

7. Enter the 4 digit Passcode you created at Step 5 followed by "OK"

Step 8- At OKI MC 853 Printer

8. A list of secure print jobs with the entered Passcode will be displayed. Either print or delete as print jobs as required. Once printed the Secure Print Job has been printed, it will be deleted.

Print Jobs are cleared out after 24 hours.
