Young Entrepreneurs Program Now Closed
Wanting to start your own business and get quick results?

This program is ideal for those embarking on a New Enterprise Incentive Scheme NEIS program and seeking further assistance, business insights, training and mentoring from successful business people.

NEIS Providers are welcome to contact us for further details on how the AHBC can enhance your younger program participants business success.

Young Entrepreneurs starting their first business may be eligible to gain upwards of $5000 of business support and funding from the Adelaide Hills Business Centre (AHBC).

Do you meet the criteria?
  • You must be over 18 years and under 25 years of age.
  • Your business will operate in or near the Adelaide Hills & Mount Barker areas.
  • This is your first registered business.
  • Your business must have commercial merit with long term sustainability. (Not a hobby)
  • Your business idea must be innovative / inventive.
  • Your ability to start and grow your business is restricted by available funds.
  • You are an AHBC member.

Assistance may be in the form of:-
  • Domain registration and hosting for two years
  • Google G Suite products with Website and professional email address for 1 year
  • Business name registration
  • AHBC Business advice and support
  • Business Planning and Budgeting
  • Establishing business processes
  • Technology tools to capture data and online marketing
  • Vouchers to attend Table Talks learning events to build your business skills and confidence 
  • HOOPLA Vouchers to access online support and other services.
  • AHBC Membership fee waived
  • AHBC Cowork Workspace
  • AHBC Facilities to showcase your business
  • Mentoring and business coaching  
  • Investment Funding or Startup Loans*
How To Apply:- (No cost to apply or to get started)
  • Become a AHBC member. 
    Use Sponsor Code SU2000 for FREE first year's casual membership with no joining fee.
  • Book an one hour meeting with Gordon Kay at the AHBC to discuss your startup business. It's an easy relaxing discussion to get to know you, your business idea and startup needs. 
    When booking, select the FREE "Young Entrepreneurs Startup Program"
  • Have or in the process of registering for an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Complete and maintain a business plan and budget.
  • Attend Table Talk events to gain business insights.
  • Attend update meetings with the AHBC.
  • Enable the AHBC to promote that you have received startup assistance from the AHBC.
Applications and packages are competitive and criteria based. The level of assistance provided is at the AHBC discretion.

* Investment Funding may be requested or offered in exchange for Ordinary Corporate Shares within a Company Structure.  If a Company Structure does not exist, the AHBC will assist with the cost associated with establishing a Company Structure in accordance with the Corporation Act.

* Startup Loans may be requested or offered for the purchase of capital expenditure items and ownership of such items shall remain the property of the AHBC until the load amount and interest is fully paid by the business owner.  Interest, payments and terms will be determined on a case by case basis.
