I would like to introduce myself to the AHBC network. My name is Julie Reece and I am a long time resident of Woodside who has recently joined the AHBC hub to promote and expand my fledgling business ‘Julie Reece Tours’.

I am a retired teacher of 36 years specialising in senior History in particular Australia’s wartime past.

Since 2001 I have run school tours to Europe to visit the former battlefields of the western front in France and Belgium and since retiring at the end of 2010 have taken it a step further by establishing ‘Julie Reece Tours’ .

My tours focus predominantly on the WW1 story however I have also developed guided bespoke tours to areas of interest of my clients in the UK, France and Belgium.

In 2016 two tours are on offer to the public:

The ‘Garden Views’ tour hosted by garden guru Trevor Nottle in May.

The WW1 tour based on my book the ‘Jimmy’s Anzac Pilgrimage Tour’ in October.

My website has the brochures for each of these tours for your close study. Go to and my facebook page for all the details – .

I am looking at holding several information sessions of one hour at the AHBC for interested members and guests who may wish to join one of the tours.

If you are keen to attend or to discuss any of the tours please don’t hesitate to contact me via my webpage contact page. I look forward to sharing my love of travel and passion for history with you on one of my future tours.
