Built for generations to come

The 1850's bungalow, home of the Adelaide Hills Business Centre and its members has recently undergone some significant changes to retain its main street charm.

Like many other historical stone cottages and commercial buildings found throughout the Adelaide Hills, insects and salt damp are the cancer of early buildings.

Late last year a complete termite treatment was completed and early this year, salt damp proofing was undertaken. In April, 80 effected stones were replaced with recycled and locally quarried sandstone blocks.

The before and after photos reveal the visual impact.

We are delighted with the results and the efforts of those that helped extended life and purpose of this historical building.

Special thanks to Tony Challen for the supplying these photo.
