Last night -
Around 20 local business people listened to Adam Troyn's passionate story to why he created Kampus, the award winning online system that completes the space between education and career opportunities.

Adam described how the path from education to employment is disjointed. How a student's first barrier to employment is acquiring experience or the opportunity to connect with potential employers.

Kampus provides a simple and safe registration service for students and employers to connect.  Unlike Seek and other job seeking systems, Kampus focuses on protecting the interest of students in terms of privacy, connections with real business jobs and the use of proper engagement terms.

Businesses can search for suitable students with matching skills or promote their jobs or internship opportunities online. For many small businesses looking at taking on their first employee, Kampus provides an easy and cost effective approach with minimal risk.  Larger businesses with student, graduate or youth work opportunities have a highly effective solution to locate the right people reducing costly recruitment processes.

Adam outlined how Kampus can help at all levels of government to deliver economic improvements.  For example councils can use Kampus to encourage local employers in areas of high youth unemployment to connect and with new job seekers.

Students are eager to demonstrate their capabilities and new skills, said Adam.
