Hacksaw - Cutting Through Technology - Inaugural Event

Technology Meetup Group comes to the hills.

Hacksaw, is about connecting people that have an interest in technology, keen to share knowledge, exchange and learn through a collaborative environment of presentations and hands on workshops.

Hacksaw caters for technology wannabes, geeks, techies, developers, electronic hobbyist, start-ups, inventors, entrepreneurs and investors.

The aim of Hacksaw is to foster technology development and solutions with real commercial opportunities.

We aim to present a technology topic each month while allowing Techies to show and share their stuff for other to learn, discover and try. It's a hands on approach to help you get started.

Some of the topics we would like to cover over the next 12 months:-
  • Coding (Javascript, HTML, .Net, VB, C#, Ruby, Swift etc)
  • App Creation for mobile devices (Android, iOS etc)
  • Electronics (DIY, Arduino, Raspberry pi, Onion Omega etc)

Monthly Events are held at the Out-Space Venue at the Adelaide Hills Business Centre and the first meeting will be held on the 9th October starting at 6pm

A light meal will be available and for AHBC members it's free. Non AHBC members, bring $10 on the night to help us cover cost

This Mental Health First Aid Course is designed to teach adults (18 years and over) how to provide Mental Health First Aid to co-workers, friends and family.

Discover how mental health first aid can help people that are developing a mental health problem or crisis.

Learn how first aid works until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

This Standard Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) Course is conducted over two days.  Friday the 7th of Sept 9:00am to 4pm and Friday the 14th of Sept 9:00am to 4pm

The program include all materials, meals and refreshments.

Public WiFi aimed at enhancing local business opportunities and tourism to Woodside and surrounding areas.

The Adelaide Hills Business Centre is in the process of reviewing the deployment of a Public WiFi Service to:
  • Promoting local businesses, 
  • Regional Wineries
  • Tourism
  • Events 
  • Visitor's information
The proposed Public WiFi service shall cover the sports grounds, along the main street up to the business centre and just beyond.  Subject to the level of interest, a linked service may be established around Woodside North.

"So what does this mean to you and your business, sporting club or community group?"
